My New WIP

The start of a new project. Hangin' on my cool new design wall (cheap flannel king flat sheet & staples).
I started with a Tranquility by Moda layer cake. Each 10x10 square gave me 2 "lamp light"shapes.
I love these shapes!!!!

Here are all the shapes laid out... now how to sew???
Oh , in blocks of course. I will end up with 42 blocks. Yea.

4 down...38 to go.

Mom's Birthday Quilt

Jelly Roll Fence Rail Quilt

This is the quilt I made for my Mom's birthday.
I used Moda "Spring Magic" by April Cornell.
I Just love the way it turned out.
I used 1 jelly roll and about 1 1/2 yards of 3 other fabrics from the stash.
It went quickly. I free motion quilted this one on my trusty old Brother machine. I hid a heart in the quilting stitches. I am going to see if my Mom kind find it ......

A Tote to Roll With

Here is the little tote bag. Stitched it up to hold "the little wooden doll roll" . It turned out a little bigger than I imagined .
Little girl has already found lots of things to fill it with.

Little Wooden love

Hey,
Has anyone painted any of those little wooden peg dolls. My girls and I gave it a shot this summer.

We created these little guys & dolls for our 4 year old. She loves them and wants to take them everywhere. So today I stitched up a little doll roll. Like the crayon rolls you see. I love this one.

I think it turned out cute. Now I am off to make a little tote to carry them in.
